Rules
-------------------------------------Dog/Handler
-All dogs entered must have a SKC registration number before the judging date.
(Please put pending if waiting for registration approval)
-All dogs must be at least 6 months of age at the day of entry.
- Dogs are not required to wear collars/gear, it is however allowed.
- Dogs may be neutered or intact.
-All handlers, if they are visible in the pictures, must be dressed accordingly, therefore sporty/casual.
General
-The lot where the trial takes place needs to be visibly fenced.
- Do not reserve posts. Reserved posts will be deleted.
-Amount of dogs per one handler is not restricted.
-Herding competitions are to be held outdoors.
Entry Fee: $50 per dog (will be deducted by admin from your bank)

Photo Requirements
Image Size must not exceed 900 x 600
Image must be well lit
Handler does not have to be visible
Reusing of images is allowed.
One image of the dog performing the assigned task.

Classes
Cattle - herding of cattle
Sheep/Goat - herding of sheep or goat
Ducks/Geese/Chickens - herding of walking bird
The number of Sheep/Goats or Cattle allotted for each trial shall be 3 to 10 head.
The number of Ducks/Geese/Chickens allotted for each run will be 5 to 10 head.
Levels
Open - all dogs without a Herding title may enter
Champion - all dogs with AHCH. title may enter
Grand Champion - all dogs with AHGCH. title may enter
Tasks
Cast - The dog leaves the handler and rounds up the herd.
Lift & Bring - The dog brings the herd back to the handler. A double lift requires the dog to bring one group of sheep back, then do another cast for a second group.
Away drive - The dog drives the animals away from the handler’s position.
Cross drive - The dog walks the animals across in front of the handler.
Shed - The dog must separate the group into two groups in a controlled way. Sheep that are being separated need to be marked. It is required to be done in a ring marked out on the ground.
Singling - Separating one sheep out of the herd.
Pen - The dog and handler should be able to combine to move the sheep into a confined space, typically a pen.

High In Trial: Qualifying Score + $500
Best in Class: Qualifying Score + $300
2nd Place: Qualifying Score +$100

Honorable Mentions: Any dog that scored over a 70 will still get a QS.
